Due to the impacts of COVID affecting Queensland communities and taking priority for Councils, the Queensland Tidy Towns Clean Beaches accreditation and award program went on hiatus during 2020 and 2021. Nominations were opened in 2022 for a downsized edition taking into account the restrictions and impacts local communities continued to recover from. After reviewing the submission for that edition, we deemed necessary to not accept submissions for 2023 and 2024 in order to prioritise the recovery efforts of the Queensland communities before reopening the program.

With a fresh new look, we are excited to announce that Tidy Towns Clean Beaches is finally coming back this 2025. Submission will open on xx and close on xx.
